(1) Antistatic Ability

LED is a semiconductor device, which is sensitive to static electricity and easily leads to static electricity failure, so the anti-static ability is very important for the life of LED display screen. The failure voltage of human electrostatic mode test of LED should not be less than 2000v V.


(2) Attenuation Characteristic

Generally, LED display screens need to work for a long time, and long-term work will lead to the decrease of brightness and the inconsistent color of the display screen, all of which are caused by the brightness attenuation of LED devices. The brightness attenuation of LED will cause the brightness of the whole LED display screen to decrease. Inconsistent brightness attenuation of red, blue and green LEDs leads to inconsistent colors of LED display screens, that is, the phenomenon of display screen blooming. A high-quality LED display screen can well control the height attenuation range and adjust its brightness.


(3) Brightness

The brightness of the lamp bead of LED display screen is the key factor to determine the height of the display screen. The higher the brightness of LED, the greater the spare capacity of current, which is beneficial to saving power consumption and maintaining the stability of LED. If the chip has been fixed, the smaller the LED angle, the brighter the LED brightness. If the viewing angle of the display screen is small, choose a 100-degree LED to ensure sufficient viewing angle of the LED display screen. LED display screens with different point spacing and no line of sight should be considered in brightness, angle and price to find a balance point.


(4) Visual Angle

The angle of LED beads determines the viewing angle of LED display screen. At present, most outdoor LED display screens choose elliptical patch LED lamp beads with horizontal viewing angle of 120 degrees and vertical viewing angle of 70 degrees, and indoor LED display screens choose 120-degree vertical patch LED lamp beads. For example, the LED display screen on the highway uses a circular LED with a 30-degree viewing angle. However, the LED display screen of high-rise buildings requires higher vertical viewing angle, and large viewing angle reduces brightness. Therefore, the choice of perspective depends on the specific use.


(5) Failure Rate

Full-color LED display screen consists of tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of pixels composed of red, green and blue LEDs. The failure of any color LED will lead to the overall visual effect of LED display screen.


(6) Consistency

Full-color LED display screen is made up of countless red, blue and green LEDs. The brightness and wavelength of each color LED play a decisive role in the brightness, white balance consistency and brightness consistency of LED display screen. The LED has an angle, so the full-color LED display screen also has an angular directionality, that is, when viewed from different angles, its brightness will increase or decrease, and the angular consistency of the red, green and blue LEDs will seriously affect the white balance consistency of different angles and the video color fidelity of the LED display screen, so as to achieve the matching consistency of the brightness changes of the red, green and blue LEDs at different angles. It depends on the technical level of the dry supplier. When the angle consistency of LED is not good, the white balance effect of different angles of the whole LED display screen is not optimistic.


(7) Lifespan

The average life of LED display screen is 100,000 hours. As long as the quality of LED devices is good, the working current is appropriate, the heat dissipation design is reasonable, and the production process of LED display screen is rigorous, LED devices are one of the most durable devices in LED display screen. The price of LED devices accounts for 70% of the price of LED display screen, so the quality of LED display screen is determined by LED devices.


(8) Size

The size of LED devices is also relevant and important, which directly affects the pixel distance of LED display screen, that is, the resolution. Generally, 5mm oval lights are used for outdoor display screens above p16, and 3mm oval lights are used for outdoor display screens of p12.5, p12 and p10. Under the condition of constant spacing, the display area of LED devices can be increased and the graininess can be reduced by increasing the size of LED devices.
